Frequently Asked Questions

1.

Question:

What happens if the internet server goes down and I don’t have access to my Web Menu?

Answer:

There are two remedies: (1) At the top of each Web Menu you can select the ‘printer friendly PDF’ which is the entire CAD standards for that particular menu. Print this .PDF file and select each feature manually, setting the ‘Level’, ‘Color’, ‘Linestyle’, and ‘Weight’, or (2) We will post an alternate emergency URL address for you to use. Write this URL in a safe place in case you have to use it. This alternate address will only be accessible if the main internet server is down.

2.

Question:

If I don’t see the CAD standards I need on your website, how can my standards be made available for me to use?

Answer:

We will post your CAD standards into our patented Web Menus at no cost to you for one menu. They will be made available within the same week from the time we receive them.

3.

Question:

Do I pay for the subscription to the Web Menu?

Answer:

No, you do not pay for the subscription, your company does. The use of the Web Menu is no different for your company than any other tool or software they provide for you currently.

4.

Question:

When I signed up to get my username and password, one of the required fields was my Company Contact. Why do you need this?

Answer:

Since your company pays for your subscription to the Web Menus, we need authorization from the person within your company responsible to approve our billings. You should contact the person within your company who can make this approval and enter his or her name.

5.

Question:

What happens if my company refuses to pay for the subscription, but I find the Web Menus useful?

Answer:

Unfortunately we cannot extend indefinite use of the Web Menus if your company refuses to pay. The cost for you to use the Web Menu is just pennies per hour which is a small price to pay for the returns your company would receive. I would encourage you and others to show your company’s management the Features and Benefits outlined on our website as to how they can profit from the use of the Web Menus

6.

Question:

Does it cost extra if I see other Web Menus and want to use them?

Answer:

No. If your company is a subscriber, you will have access to every public Web Menu that is created for the same low monthly cost.

7.

Question:

Can I use my username and password on more than one computer?

Answer:

Yes. You will be allowed 1 login at a time, often referred to as "concurrent use". If you logout, you can login on another computer. If you share your username and password, you may not have access if the person you shared it with is logged on.

8.

Question:

We have consultants working for us and we want to send our CAD standards to you to create our Web Menus. Is there a cost involved? Do we pay for any changes and updates to the CAD standards at a later date?

Answer:

No. There is no cost involved for us to take your CAD standards and create the first Web Menu. This statement is made provided you send electronic data of your CAD standards and not .PDF files, etc. Also, any future maintenance changes are at no cost to you.

9.

Question:

Can we post Autocad blocks for use with MicroStation files?

Answer:

Yes, MicroStation V8 and above is well capable of accepting Autocad blocks into the .dgn file format.

10.

Question:

Is there a limit to the number of blocks or cells we can send you as you create our Web Menu?

Answer:

There is no set number, but it must be within reason. We can discuss it further if you think you will have a tremendous number of symbols.

11.

Question:

You state that if a company is under subscription then its designers will have access to all the menus you have created. This poses a problem for us. I want to send you our proprietary symbols for us to use, but not for our competition to use. Is there a way our information will be secure for only our company’s use?

Answer:

Yes. We respect the sensitive nature of the information given to us by our clients. During our interview process to create Web Menus, we do ask if the Web Menu is to remain private or can it be public. Only the public Web Menus will be available for other subscribers.
